21JS - Duh!

RL updates + yet another bizarre crossover idea

We leave tomorrow morning for our trip! Tomorrow night we'll stay at South of the Border (which I adored as a kid; barely remember it now, hope it's still awesome), then on Monday we'll reach Joe's. I'll stay the night as his place while the family stays at a nearby hotel, then we'll leave in the morning. We should get to St. Augustine by the end of Monday, and we'll be there for about four days. Then drive down to Disney for a WEEK! RAWK ON.

In other news, my mom got that "Big Brain Academy" game. I did the test, and got a D+ with the brain type of "fashion stylist. Obv., this is hilariously wrong, so I retook the test. Got a C, with the type of "diplomat". Well, okay then. Sounds good to me!

I'm all packed, except for my laptop (which I am on) and my Nintendo DS, which I will be playing until I feel like sleeping. Probably. Maybe. I dunno.

And in today's edition of "Why me and my cousins (mostly Kirsten) should never hang out"... we have a planned 21 Jump Street/Doctor Who crossover! Yes, you read that right. Those of you who are long-time fans may remember the still-planning 21JS/Stargate SG-1 story and Wonderfalls/SG1 story. These are still not written. But the 21JS/DW story idea? SO much better! Because it's based on the idea that Captain Jack and Tom Hanson? Same person. Hells yeah.* After he regains his memories (long story), he introduces himself as Captain Officer Tack. Because.

Oh, and to my David Monahan fangirl homies - I got Something New on DVD, so I'll totally be screencapping his (way too short) appearence!

* For those wondering how we got this idea... I saw a picture of Jack in his first episode, with the WWII haircut? And I was all, "Hey, he looks just like Hanson in the first episode of Jump Street!" And Kirsten stared at it and agreed. We then found a picture of Hanson from said episode, and put the two side-by-side. And DAMN, whoa, but yes. They totally look alike. CREEPY.

21JS - Duh!

Mad memeage yo!

Joey: "Wait, sex never happens when you're buffed. It only happens when you're least expecting it!"
Mac: "Yeah, yeah, like somebody else's wedding."
Joey: "Or at a law enforcement seminar."
Mac: "Or the laundrymat."
Joey: "Right! ...the laundrymat?"

Your Theme Song is Back in Black by AC/DC

"Back in black, I hit the sack,
I've been too long, I'm glad to be back"

Things sometimes get really crazy for you, and sometimes you have to get away from all the chaos.
But each time you stage your comeback, it's even better than the last!

21JS - WHOA.

More fashion disasters

Oh. My. GOD. Okay, you all know that recent entry of mine, with the Hideous Fashions of Officer Anthony "Mac" McCann? Well, upon further viewing of the episode that the red/blue carpet is from, I've realized: He's wearing floofy purple pants with it. I shit you not. Like a goddamn genie's pants. I couldn't make this shit up.

And now I'm going to bed, as I'm picking up my new glasses in about four hours. I'll be sure to take pictures so you can all marvel at how good-looking I am.

21JS - game fun time!

I need to stop watching TV and playing video games. And need to sleep. But it's SO not happening.

I'm watching "Digger", Crossing Jordan rerun, on A&E, and I totally love Lily. She has Nigel take a picture of his you-know-what with an instant camera. BWAHA.

And now, as Digger and Jordan reenact the scene, there's this awesome guitar line that sounds damn familiar, but the song itself doesn't, so that's kinda weird.

Aaaand now I'm going to go play some Sims 2, where I have created college-versions of Doug, Joey, Mac, and Judy. Judy and Joey are off to a good start, with their studying, but Doug and Mac decided to play hacky-sack and chess instead of doing anything before their first class. And I need to quit talking like they're real people. Jeez, self.

HP - party

If you guessed more ramblings about 21 Jump Street, you'd be correct! Congrats.

So I'm watching this Jump Street episode, the one where Joey joins a cult? And during the montage of various cultish activities, they totally play Red Rover. Red Rover leads to cults! OMG GUYZ!

Question: This is, oh, the fourth episode Mac's been in. How the hell does he already know Fuller has a son?

Doug: "Captain, I'm going to need the interrogation room this weekend to interrogate a suspect."
Fuller: "It's yours." Leaves.
Judy: "...I already cancelled my weekend plans."
Mac: "I never had any."

Doug sends Judy and Mac "next door" to get Joey a cheeseburger. Um. I'm confused. There is a burger joint right next to the interrogation room?

It's good to see that Doug still has the same old anger problems, and that again - he takes it out on the poor inanimate objects. Wait, wait, it appears he's moved on to animate objects. Arguable, since Joey is imitating a vegetable quite decently. But it's okay, because Mac stopped Doug, and is now all close to him and holding onto his arm and is all "You want me to stay?" because Mac/Doug is the best ship.

...I just realized that I very well may like Mac/Doug because Mac has less baggage than Hansen or Booker - and he got shot (on purpose) three times by fellow (although dirty) cops. Well, I mean, Booker didn't exactly have a lot - or, um, any that I can remember - of baggage, but he acted like he did, y'know? Mac is younger and, initial behavior notwithstanding, more trusting than the others. He geniunely seems to like other people, and doesn't mind schlepping. Contrast with Hansen's initial uppity behavior and "Gasp! You mean in order to fit in with teenagers I have to pretend to be one?" attitude.

Tons more 21 Jump Street babblings. )

New icons! 2 mini movies feat. Mac from 21JS (one which also feat. Doug), and two still Mac icons, such as the one I'm using right now. He's so pretty.

#s - smug

I got a new laptop!

Got a brand shiny new laptop that I am currently a-typing away on, dawgs. It's a VAIO, 100GB (which is, what, double my old laptop?), and - oh, here's the best part - it has a video card that can actually play the Sims 2. (Which I also got, along with the University expansion).

I am indeed a happy cupcake. And what the hell is that line from, anyway? Happy cupcake. Was that just something me and my stupid friends came up with, or does is it a real line? I DON'T KNOW. 'Tis a mystery.

I also have a working DVD drive, so I shall be working quite hard to get myself a beautiful icon of Mac munching on Doug's fries. And why is it that I always called him Penhall until Mac showed up? I don't know.

Hey, just realized. I now have three characters on shows I watch who are named Mac. And confusing any of them with each other is a scary, scary, SCARY-ASS thing to do. Shudder.

I'm updating from Blackhawk, Colorado. Google it if you haven't ever heard of it. It's sort of like a mini-Vegas in the Rockies. My mum's out on the floor gambling, I am in the beauty-full suite my mom got (fucking Jacuzzi tub, damn!) watching Cheers, surfin' the web (albeit through dialup), and soon-to-be screencapping 21 Jump Street because Mac is a cutey.

Tomorrow, me and my mom are going to be pretending to be tourists. Oh yeah. We're going to head into Denver, visit the zoo and aquarium and tons of museums, and then we're going to stay in a hotel in Denver, and visit more places on Wednesday. FUN TIMES!

21JS - wordless

The promised 21 Jump Street post! Or threatened. Yeah, I think it was a threat. Mwah.

So. Just watched "Buddy System" and the beginning of "Poison", from the fifth season of 21 Jump Street.

Have come to the conclusion that MAC FUCKING RULES and that I am quite possible a Mac/Doug fan. Entirely from the basketball scene and the diner scene - what the fuck was up with the twee way that Mac munched on that fry after Doug was all "Excuse us, we need to chat"? I mean, the second I get a new computer, I am screencapping the hell out of that fucking scene. Because dude. It was AWESOME. I love ya, Mac. Don't ever change.

My mum watched "Buddy System" with me (and even put up with me pausing every two minutes to laugh my ass off or ramble about whatever I was reminded of at that moment). After Mac's first appearance, I paused and went all "Dude, new guy's like Hansen! Well, a Hansen about to snap. Maybe Hansen after the whole 'whoops, put you in prison' thing. Dude seriously looks like he's gonna show up to school the next day with a machete and make his way through the halls." Later, after the b-ball scene (which reminded me of "High High" and Booker's b-ball skillz), I paused again. "I was wrong. Mac's like... like a bizarre Hansen-Booker lovechild." My mother stared at me for a second, and then went all "Yeah... he IS." And we both shuddered, because Hansen and Booker Do Not Like Each Other That Way, But Both of Them Like Penhall That Way. Then she went to bed and I watched the beginning of "Poison". After the diner scene, I paused the show again and stared for a second. "Huh. I was wrong. Mac's not Hansen and Booker's love child, he's Booker and Penhall's! Or quite possibly all three of them in some sort of creepy genetic experiment."

(Side note: for future references, if I refer to a character named Mac as twee and/or flaming, I am talking about 21 Jump Street Mac, not CSI: NY Mac. If you think I'll ever call CSI!Mac flaming, you have serious issues and should see a psychologist ASAP.)

Oh, and for someone whose favorite character is Penhall and who dislikes Hansen, I sure as hell have a lot of Hansen icons and few Penhall ones.

21JS - wordless

Today was FUN!

Find Me Guilty kicks all sorts of ass. I love me some Vin Diesel. Although it was odd seeing Barek in it. Bwaha.

And know what else rules? Owning the final season of 21 Jump Street, which I plan to watch a bit of ASAP. I now own the complete set of 21JS canon - including Booker spinoff. Meaning, after I finish watching it all, I can write fic to my heart's content!

We went to Bonnie's after school today, and when we were leaving at around six-ish, I was putting on a sock (I had taken them off so I could chase Colin all over the place) while standing up. So I was all nice and balanced on one leg, so I said "Hey, ma, look at my mad balancing skillz!" And yes, I promptly fell over. Even worse, the foot I put down to catch myself? Already had a sock on. And it was on the side that was over linoleum. So that foot slid, and I came close to doing the splits and then fell forward onto my knees, a little on the shocked side. My mother, of course, was cracking the fuck up the entire time.

21JS - math. hooray.

Yes, even MORE random 21 Jump Street stuff!

I was bored, and decided to check out the guest stars of the 21JS episode "Wooly Bullies". So I click on the guy who played kid!Penhall.

...he did the voice of Dink in 'Dink, the Little Dinosaur'. Aka, the series I ADORED as a child and still have tapes of somewhere.

Too bad I can't find who played kid!Booker. Heh.

21JS - Penhall/Booker OTP

And now, finally, I talk about Booker. And then I GO TO BED.

So... the first little bit of the first episode of Booker? Totally made it worth it to buy the entire series from some dude over the Net. Oh yes. Because Penhall and Booker are in a bar where Booker works as a bouncer, and they wind up getting their asses kicked (together!) and lying dazed in the street (next to each other!). Also, gave us this BRILLIANT line, as Dennis Booker goes up to help a waitress being hassled by a giant mountain-man type: "We came to a bar where the bouncer is a 160 pound guy named Denny? What is this, the Twilight Zone?"

And then he gets thrown across the room into a table in front of Penhall. Penhall, mildly, as he sips his drink: "You know, I think you should quit hitting him with your face."

Oh, Booker. Boooooooooooker. I love you.

Now, off to bed. For I have domestic violence practicals in the morning and God how weird is that sentence anyway?

(PS: Look at cute kid!Booker in my mood!)

Random surfing RAWKS! Rawx? RAWX!

I was surfing through various rpg ad communities on GreatestJournal when I paused. Was that Richard Grieco in a HP game ad?

Indeed it was. Someone on that RPG is using Richard Grieco for - get this - a Sirius Black PB. Part of me is amused, and part of me is shuddering because it's tainting my love of Booker. Alas.

"Next Victim!"

*heart attack* WHY HAS NO ONE TOLD ME THAT BELOVED FULLER WAS ON VERONICA MARS?!?! And not just as random extra #52925billionty, but as Mr. Daniels! The English teacher who was resposible for the ever-yummy Logan/Weevil detention scenes! I KNEW that Rob Thomas was a 21JS fan! I KNEW IT! Now, I must write fics for it. (And now, things come full circle, as it was Logan calling JTT - my first childhood crush - 'Jump Street' that made me go out and get the DVDs, and a new obsession.)

I, being a total IDIOT, managed to miss an episode of 21 Jump Street. Not one of the ones I skipped on purpose (wanting to skip ahead to the Clavo 'sodes), but one that I totally and completely missed. Like, I don't even remember reading the episode description

And dude. What's his face from Wings? The idiot mechanic guy? Also from Sideways? Totally creepy on the episode of 21JS he was on.

I think I know why I missed it. It's right after "Blinded By a Thousand Points of Light", which overwhelmed me so much I didn't pay attention to the menu screen. That's probably it. ...also, it appears that my DVDs list it AFTER Loc'd Out. Uh, okay dumbass DVD.

What follows are a ton of quotes and various ponderings on the 21 Jump Street episode 'Next Victim' )

"Last Chance High": The McQuaid's Last Hurrah.

POLL! Should I keep my LJ title and subtitle ("My Future's So Bright"/"I Gotta Wear Shades") or change it, to incorporate the line "There's a certain danger in always thinking you're right," as said by Fuller in the episode "Last Chance High"? POLL OVER, I have decided amongst myselves.

Talking about group therapy, which the girl they're talking with says is great, since so many kids at the school come from screwed up backgrounds, or are socially maladjusted, a boy wearing a skirt walks by.
Doug: "I hope he's in group."
Tom: "I hope he's Scottish."
Girl: "Actually, Kevin got into an Ivy League school for next year."
Doug: "That's not his only problem."

Tom: "Why is it that on every shopping cart, there's one wheel that refuses to turn?"
Girl: "I have a theory on that. The feminists do it."

Girl: "...if I show you, you have to promise not to tell a soul."
Tom: "On my brother's eyes, I swear."

Doug is trying to get Paul to tutor him in math. Earlier, he and Tom had asked Paul to try and jimmy the lock in Tom's car, and he broke the driver's window.)
Paul: "Look what happened the last time I helped."
Doug: "That? My brother doesn't even remember! He just thinks there's a little more ventilation in the car!"

Doug: "You live here alone?"
Paul: "I'm not sure..."

Tom: "I know I should have come to you sooner about this..."
Fuller: "Oh, I know you know. That's why I'm still ticked off about this."

Alright. As of the end scene of "Last Chance High", I no longer deny that Penhall and Hanson were the gayest. Thing. EVER. In the 80's. Which is saying something. It's just... Booker brings the pretty. So much of the pretty. I know some girls have a thing for Johnny Depp, but damn. Richard Grieco was PRETTY.

I have now seen the cutest Penhall of all: daddy!Penhall. It doesn't hurt that Clavo is the cutest little kid in the history of EVER, either.

And now what, you may ask? Now, I go to bed, as I have SATs in... six hours. Hm. I probably should have gone to bed sooner, ya think?

(And the Spring Break episode? ZOMG, the kid looked like Booker.)

"Research and Destroy"

13 Year Old: "Designer drugs? What do I know about designer drugs? I don't do drugs, man. I smoked pot once, thought my dog was trying to arrest me."

CIA Guy: "A relationship has to be based on honesty!"
Ioki: "Honesty? You're a spy!"
CIA Guy: "Well, isn't that the pot calling the kettle covert?"

Okay, so, this episode, they're undercover at a tech institute. And the school has this tradition, Ditch Day, in which the seniors leave campus for the day and the underclassmen try to break into their rooms. To get in, they have to solve puzzles called stacks. Hanson teams up with the 13 year old wunderkind, Cortex, to try and break into the main suspect's room (suspect being Poole, played by Wallace Langham).

*walks up to librarian at first location indicated by a stack*
"Did Anthony Poole leave a message here?"
"For whom?"
"For whom it may concern!"
*she digs through mail, finds envelope that is indeed entitled 'To Whom It May Concern'*

Whoa. They're totally using the song that's in the Swiffer commercials for the Hanson/Cortex scenes, going through Poole's stacks. ...which I just realized is "Whip It", and I totally should have known that from something OTHER than Swiffer commercials. God, I'm pathetic.

HAH! Why does Wallace Langham always play genius jackasses? After all this stuff - figuring out a calculus formula, beating a computer program in poker, and then scaling down the clock tower, the final clue? "The key is under the mat." BWAHA! I'd so do that.

HEY! Another 21JS/VM link! "Megan the pure", in reference to the editor of a school paper. She's blonde, name Meg, in journalism, and is refered to as 'pure'. I bet either Rob Thomas or one of the VM writers was a Jump Street fan. I mean, we've even got a canon reference to it! (Logan calling Jonathan Taylor Thomas 'Jump Street' was freakin' hilarious, too.)

And I just came up with FURTHER proof that Penhall/Booker is the best ever. They both spent a night with Judy, and neither of them had sex with her! Yes, sounds weird, but shaddap.

"Where's your beard?"
"In the sink. How's it look?"
"Like your beard's missing."

"What is it with everybody today? First I get hit on by a high school girl, then my boss asks me out on a date? What am I, emitting some weird signals or something?"

"Would I want to go out with a forty-five year old man..."
"Forty-three, damn it, forty-three!"

"We are at completely different places in our lives. I'm worried about cholesterol, and where my kid's gonna go to college, and you're in college."
"So, I'll help him with his applications!"

Next up: The future!

Omigod. Even fifteen years before landing his gig on CSI, Wallace Langham played geeks. I'm watching "Research and Destroy", the 21JS episode he guested in, and he totally just said something about a mass spectrometer. And he's got a thirteen year old supergenius working for him. This? TOTALLY ROCKS.

...I need a Wallace Langham icon. And I still need to make that Dean Winters one. Once I make those, I'll be getting rid of my Riley Poole icon and my Serenity one, methinks.

Another one of THOSE entries... 21JS

Is it wrong that I find chubby semi-mohawk'd Penhall the cutest Penhall of them all? I mean, adorable!

And Johnny Depp, kicking back in a chair, feet up on the desk, eating grapes, keeping Hoffs totally out of the loop? HIGHLARIOUS!

Also highlarious? Dirt bike fighting.

Okay, so, in a bunch of episodes of 21 Jump Street there's this bad guy, right? His name's Raymond Crane. He's supa rich. If you think I don't automatically think "Kane" instead of "Crane", you don't know me very well. Combine Raymond Crane's love of bikes with Lilly Kane's love of bikers, and voila.

Hey, it's past midnight. So stfukthxbai.

Ahem. I have some announcements to make.

http://www.thefutoncritic.com/cgi/pr.cgi?id=20051102nuts01

I? Am ridiculously excited.

In other news, I'd so do Richard Greico over Johnny Depp. That is all.

ETA: Also, I just watched an episode of 21 Jump Street that had Hanson playing chicken with a roller coaster. Those of you participating in the chicken/auto-erotic asphyxiation discussion will know why that's amusing. And why on EARTH does my journal have a chicken/auto-erotic asphyxiation discussion, anyway? I just hope I that when I'm applying for a job in federal law enforcement, the background check doesn't turn up this journal. Christ on a cracker.
