Add in maybe hitting Mile Hi Con again this year, and my entertainment costs spiral out of control! Even with my mom's new Best Buy employee discount, man. Plus, there's another CHERUB book out now, and another coming out at some undetermined point, and those aren't on there.

Oh, and apparently there's some work being done to make a CHERUB movie. I would flail wildly screaming if this happened, and it was released in the US. Srsly. I would. I would spaz.thefuck.out. I love that damn series, man. Sadly, Nick Hoult is way too old to play James (what, I've loved Nick Hoult since he was in that episode of Keen Eddie!).

Also, I totally got inspired to start a HP RPG. Somebody shoot me, put me out of our misery!

My Arabic professor totally didn't show up today because he was confused by the schedule. Although I was looking forward to it, at least it gave me time to go to the financial aid office and the cashier's. Now I'm killing a few minutes before work, where I shall work for two hours, and then have an hour of being on the computer and reheating some gyoza, and then it's off to computers for morons!

On the slightly disturbing side, I realized something last night: I've been in (non-chatroom) RPGs for five years; I've been going to fan conventions for five (six?) years; and I have been in fandom for ten years.

Ten years. A freakin' decade. I'm 18, fer cryin' out loud! *wild flailing ensues* On the upside, I've moved on from Star Wars and Animorphs to... *checks tabs* Er, Naruto and Dark Angel?

...yeah, I made myself sad. Oh well. Off to work! I shall show up early and they shall be amazed.

Under my mother's influence, I have watched two episodes of Robin Hood (the BBC show, mind you), and I may now be addicted. Even if this show is overthrowing my childhood love of Will Stutely in favor of Allan-a-Dale.

Granted, there appears to be a lack of Allan/Much fic, but I always go for the less popular ships. I'm used to it.

And thanks to the commercials, I'm gonna get into Primeval as well. And I just bought the first Anita Blake book (hoping to stop myself before it goes straight to porn). And I got back into anime. I am being overwhelmed by fandom!

Back to Robin Hood: I may also ship Allan/Carter which, honestly, I am getting a bit tired of obsessing over ships that no one else sees! ...although, there does appear to be a few Carter/Much, which is also awesome.

Oh, whatever, I need to go do stuff.

Nothing takes you out of a fairly dark HP fic faster than the phrase "We're all in this together". At least if you're me, because then you start singing the High School Musical song.

...I mean, I would possibly kill to have a Hogwarts School Musical, with the Gryffindors as the jocks, Slytherins as the drama kids, and Ravenclaws as the brains (Hufflepuffs, of course, are the filler crowd, like we always are). But Harry Potter doing jazz hands in the middle of an angstfest? Breaks the mood just a bit.

And I just saw an icon that was rather vehemently against the director of OotP, saying that he basically crapped on the book. umwut? I thought it was a fairly good adaptation. Not exact, but nothing ever is, and it rather kept the spirit of it all, I think.

But then, I can almost guarantee I'm putting too much thought into it.

So! In good news, I convinced my mom to drive me to campus tomorrow. This is important,because I forgot to pick up a scantron for my final, and had I taken light rail, I would've walked the entire length of campus twice (the light rail is right next to my class; the Tivoli, where you buy scantrons, is on the opposite end of our neverending campus).

...apparently a side effect of taking too much Ritalin is excess mucus production. Or at least that's the only reason I can come up with in regards to my current situation.

(If you're wondering why I overdosed on ADD medication, it's because I sortof thought that a paper for my serial killers class was due later than it actually is, and had to rather rush together a paper on Joseph Paul Franklin and the Colonial Parkway Killer.)

As I'm sure you've all heard by now, Estelle Getty is dead. And I must say, I was far sadder by that news than Heath Ledger's death - as Julia said, it is sad when attractive people die, but even sadder when awesome people die.

In other news of me being behind the times, I finally got around to watching Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, and I gotta say: "Brand New Day" and the Bad Horse songs? Best. Things. Evar. "So They Say" is up there, too.

What else... oh, me and Julia are planning on crashing a Twilight release party. For the lulz, of course. Plus the fact that we can just hang out at her Tattered Cover with our laptops for a few hours. I'm planning on getting body glitter, and then dryly explaining that I'm a vampire, can you tell from the sparkles?

Today at work was a hassle. It's our room's bake sale week, so we had to have a staff member running that, leaving me and Chavela in the room with ten kids. Including basically all of our trouble kids. And Isaac was sick and fell asleep, so we had to keep someone in the room during outside time, so I basically got to watch all the kids outside while Chavela stood in the doorway. And Mavie was a little brat, kept pulling Isaac's hair and waking him up - so I put her in time out (well, sort of. We have this one area of the loft that can be semi-blocked off, I put her in there). I went back every few minutes and asked her if she was sorry for hurting Isaac. Mavie: "NEIN!" Me: "You have to stay up here, you're in trouble." Mavie: "I IN TROUBLE!" *bounces around happily*

...you know, pretty much all of my favorites are the trouble kids. Isaac, Mavie, Archie, they're all brats. And Elliot appeared to be doing good, but now he's gunning for Genevieve, one of the babies. Even Irvin's being a bully when he can drag himself away from me (god that kid is clingy).

Iiii have been reading sooo much Naruto fanfics... And eating soooo much ramen because of that. Seriously, I keep eating bunches of packages of ramen, and it is indeed delicious, because I have totally been cooking it on the stove! It's so much better when done by stove than microwave, guys, rly.
