It wasn't so bad when I got sucked back into Yu Yu Hakusho fics, although there is an appalling lack of Hiei/Koenma fics out there, I must say. But I refuse - REFUSE! - to go back to Slayers. Because I've only seen half an episode of that show, and all I know of it comes from fanfics (and all I remember of those fanfics was that horrible high school AU that was all Zelgadis angst dear god why do I still remember that?!).

Must... find... something else... Ooh, a fic where Ibiki runs Naruto's team, not Kakashi DEAR GOD THAT'S NOT ANY BETTER BRB DROWNING IN NARUTO AGEN

I love it when this happens. I get about seven chapters into a HP time-travel fic before realizing that, hey, this is the author of one of my most favoritest Buffy series evar! The one featuring, oh, pretty much all of my favorite characters - not normally rare, but I always go for the minor characters.

(If anyone knows what I'm talking about, the author I'm referring to is Jedi Buttercup, and the Buffy series is Lesser Men, starring Connor!Wesley and son-of-Ethan-Rayne!Jonathan. I read that way back in my fledgling days of Buffy fandom, and have reread it frequently since.)

Here I am, sitting quietly and nicely in computer class, totally surfing the web instead of... well, not, and I come across this fic summary: Owls, cauldrons, and pointed hats? Harry Potter was not amused. And he still wasn't entirely sure that his human trafficking theory had been wrong. Warning! Features a very cynical Harry. AU, no pairings.

My brain: OH HELLS YES MAN.

Also, our assignment right now? Extra credit, of the moronic yet time-consuming type. My worst kind! I enjoy quick, challenging efforts - it's why I do so well on standardized tests, because they're timed and you have to second-guess the questions.

Of course, I keep doing Mrs. Puff's "Extraaa credit!" voice in my head, which serves to amuse me endlessly.

Anyway, I have a question for you fine feathered folks: in regards to my "For the Lulz" next-gen HP game, would it be totally awesome to completely randomize the pairings with no regards to canon? I think so! Which is why Harry is married to Romilda Vane. Haha, suckas!

It also has Oliver Wood with Blaise Zabini, which I personally enjoy.

So... it appears that I am gluten intolerant! While it's nice to finally maybe not be constantly sick (and, given the long-term effects, be able to sleep), I'm already craving bread and ramen. I love ramen, we have boxes of it!

Maybe I'll just limit it. Like, have ramen once a week only. Yeah, that could work. As for bread, there is such a thing as gluten-free bread, we just have to hit Whole Foods or something to get it.

In other news! I have completed three chapters of my smart(ass)!Harry fic. And I'm wondering how to get him actively involved in something when it's mostly against his character to do more than sit back and watch things. I mean, I've got him at all the crucial shit from the book, but he doesn't actually care or initiate any of it (even less than he did in the real book), and I'm worried readers might not like such a passive MC. Hm...

I am now the proud owner of the entire Sword of the Spirits trilogy by John Christopher. I read the series when I was about seven, maybe eight, when we were visiting my grandmother in Florida, and I adored the books (although it did make me a little confused on early Christianity, but no more so than smearing fake blood on a Ken doll at church did).

Oh, had my first history quiz today. Six true/false questions. I love going to a crappy university.

And apparently my new story is much loved in the universe, because it's getting way more attention than I have ever gotten: Genius Does What it Must, a smart(ass)!Harry fic. Go, read! I've actually plotted this out and know what the fuck I'm doing! It's a first!

HAH. I am, perhaps, spending too much time reading Naruto fanfics, but what else am I to do when there's brilliance such as someone, to demonstrate why obsessions are bad, uses the example of two enemies, one holding a bowl of ramen hostage, the other a small child. Which would he rescue?

And the best part is, Naruto can't answer that!

I've decided that I will forever and always love Naruto and its fandom simply because of this line in a fic:

"Naruto... What the fuck are you doing monologuing outloud under my bed?"

EDIT: Oh, also because it inspired me to eat lots and lots of ramen, cooked on the stove instead of the microwave. AND IT IS DELICIOUS.

It's over two pages now, and completely freakin' hilarious, omg. Julia brings me the best crack, dude. Between this, and her RedEye Bill/Andy, and all of everything else...

HAH. I am so cool. I slept in late last Thursday and missed my Spanish class, right? Turns out that the teacher didn't even show up for that class! Oh, me, why are you so cool that the only class you've missed so far, the teacher missed too?

In other news, the weird HP next gen story I've been working on? Where Al and Scorpius, amongst others, winds up in OotP time? I'm tempted to make it a series, where the group of ten kids investigate wizarding fairy tales to find the truth about them. Because, um, I like my crack half-baked. And - aw, hell, might as well do the character run-down for y'all. Since it makes me feel cool.

So I got bored. And decided to surf Getty to find pictures of the Torchwood members as they are in my upcoming Torchwood/HP crossover - that is, as eleven year olds. I think I did at least okay! (Actually, the only one I'm really attached to is young!Jack, and that's because I didn't use a Getty image for him...)
