Some of these interest me more than becoming a cop/federal agent. Especially the research kind of jobs. I mean, how awesome would it be to make a living just researching trends in society and the like? Totally awesome, that's how.
You know, in the past I've been a little uncertain about what I want to do with my life (who hasn't, though?) and even what to major in during college. But the more I think about it, the more I think a sociology major is perfect for me. I mean, I had an idea for my required research paper for research class - and it's on what people assume from pictures of people they don't know. Like if they can guess the person's name, or occupation, or sexual orientation, or favorite animal, or anything like that. Another idea I had was actually inspired by a Diana Wynne Jones book, Witch Week: See if there's any correlation between someone's personality and the first historical person they come up with when pressed to think of one.
The only problems with both is how exactly to conduct the study. Actually, I may be able to do something via LiveJournal, although it's questionable as to if I'd get enough responses for it to work. I'd rather not try polling most of my classmates. That would likely end badly. Heh.
Now I leave you with this Goren quote, on the topic of abortion: "I'll tell you what I think when I get pregnant."
